In addition on my count, for less than 5 days we will celebrate (for moslem) the Iedul Fitri. In Indonesian customs, to celebrate the iedul fitri on kampong is look like a duty. So you don't have to surprise that most of people will "berjibaku" go back to kampong and start celebrate iedul fitri with our big familly.
Sometimes, we confuse with this fenomena, but this custom is going to be part of indonesian style. On another reason for celebrating iedul fitri on kampong is giving some donate for our familly, our friends on kampong that don't have enough money for celebrate the iedul fitri.
Well, being one of indonesian people sometimes i feel sad if i could not visit or going back to kampong for iedul fitri, that's feeling almost exist on most of indonesian people. So that's why on the iedul fitri, they will go back to kampong, whatever will be.
Why i consider use word "berjibaku" or close enough with suicide condition for going back to kampong on calabrate iedul fitri. well, approxiametly almost 3/4 people who lives in Jabotabek will move going back on the same day. It will be suffer travell, many accidents, traffic jam while most of the traveller still on fasting. On the limited condition, they try to travel and going back to their kampong. So we can see many accidents happen on many street, highway couse of that.
Eventhough like that, they still do it year by year. They believe that their suffer for going back kampong will dissapear after arriving on hometown, their lovely kampong or meet their familly and friends in kampong, well it "what a wonderfull world".
